"This imperial chrysanthemum dish is 6cm in diameter and belongs to a special grade product. The market price is 60 yuan per flower." In yepingtou village, Liandu District, Lishui, a group of tourists scrambled to see a golden chrysanthemum in the hands of the old village head Wang Xiaorong on the viewing corridor of the village. Outside the corridor, 210 Mu imperial chrysanthemums are in full bloom in the cascading terraces, surrounding the village in a sea of golden flowers.
Yepingtou village is located on a small hill in the northeast mountainous area of Liandu, with 142 people from 68 households in the village. In 2010, it took two years to transform the old village into spacious and tidy three-story row houses. "Our village has high mountains and long roads, and the economy is not rich. At that time, the reform of the old village was inevitable, but after the reform, there was no industrial support for the moment, and every family owed more or less. After the new house was built, many villagers had to go to other places to work. At that time, there were only more than 30 people left in the village." In order to persuade everyone to build a new village, Wang Xiaorong took the lead in tearing down his old house.
This dilemma also put pressure on Gu Jiangnan, a cadre of Liancun village and then deputy secretary of Liandu district Party committee, to look everywhere for ways to make yepingtou village rich. By chance, Gu Jiangnan met Zhou Shihua, a professor of Jiangxi Academy of Forestry Sciences. Zhou Shihua has been engaged in the domestication and improvement of wild chrysanthemums, and has guided the planting of many chrysanthemums in Jiangxi. Wang Xiaorong clearly remembers how Zhou Shihua came to yepingtou Village: "Professor Zhou went to our field, grabbed a handful of soil, put it in his mouth and tasted it carefully." This is the taste of Xintiandi in yepingtou village.
"Huangju has high requirements for the planting environment. The fields in yepingtou village are almost free of pollution and meet the planting conditions." Jin Guangen, vice chairman of Lishui Xuande Huangju Development Co., Ltd., said. The company was established for the sale of Huangju at that time. In January 2013, the company purchased more than 400000 yuan of seedlings from Jiangxi. In November of that year, the imperial chrysanthemum was in full bloom and successfully introduced. After being tested by Hangzhou testing center of the Ministry of agriculture, the four inspection indexes are higher than those of similar products in Jiangxi; Among them, total flavonoids are two percentage points higher than Jiangxi products, and vitamin E is 10 percentage points higher. The yellow chrysanthemum with flat leaves suddenly became famous.
In order to ensure the quality, the leaf flat head is planted with the traditional farming method. At the beginning of spring every year, farmers pull their cattle out to plough; In the late autumn harvest season, peasant women carry baskets and shuttle among the blooming chrysanthemums. Aunt Fu, 72, is pouring a basket full of chrysanthemums into a big basket. "We pick flowers in the field at 7 a.m. and finish work at 5 p.m. every day. We eat at our house at noon and have a rest." As she said, she took down the hat and put it on again. "There is a net pocket behind the hat. Hold your head so that no hair will fall into the flowers."
58 year old Wang Meihua and his wife both work in the company: "our family has 4 mu of land, which used to be all kinds of vegetables. Now we transfer the land to the company, and there are 500 or 600 yuan rent per mu of land every year. Our husband and wife's annual salary is about 30000 or 40000 yuan. We owe 100000 yuan for building a house, but now we have basically paid off." More than 100 people have returned to the originally empty village. The labor salary offered by the company last year reached more than 600000 yuan. Male workers over the age of 60 earn 115 yuan per day and 125 yuan per day under the age of 60; Women workers are 85 yuan and 95 yuan respectively. Fu Chunhua, 84, is the oldest among the workers. It's not convenient for the elderly to walk. If they burn a fire in the baking room, they can get two or three thousand yuan a month.
"Fragrant chrysanthemums bloom in the forest". The beautiful scenery of yepingtou's hundred mu imperial chrysanthemums in full bloom has attracted many tourists. Three farmhouses have been opened in the village in a year. Chen Aiping and his wife used to open breakfast shops in other places. They came back in July this year and changed their new house into farmhouse. Just opened a few days ago, they welcomed four tables of guests. Chen Aiping, who was busy greeting the guests, said with a smile: "originally, we had to get up at three o'clock in the morning to make breakfast. Now we make farmhouse fun in our own home. When there are no guests, we can still work in the company, which is much more comfortable. Now that the village has developed, we will be able to make money."
